Q Before your appointment
A Avoid the following for at least 2 weeks prior to receiving skin care treatments; Sun, AHA’s, exfoliants, Retinol, skin sensitizing medications such as antibiotics.

Q After your advanced treatment?
A For mild to medium treatments your skin will feel like a sunburn. It can feel tight, and will start to feel dry and flake 2-3 days post skin care treatment. Depending on the level of depth of the treatment you may notice an increase in intensity.

Q Aftercare

A No sun for 2 weeks post treatment. Immediately after do not increase body temperature for at least 48 hours. No picking skin as it is healing and to protect the treated area post treatment must wear an SPF 30 everyday. Avoid using any active treatments for one week after treatment (AHA’s, Exfoliants, Retinol, Etc).

Q How often?
A: Mild skin treatments such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and facials, can be done every 2 weeks more aggressive treatments such as micro-needling and deep chemical peels can be done every 4 weeks.

Q How many sessions are needed?
A It is recommended to do a series of 3 to 6 depending on what you are wanting to target and the severity of your skin concern.

A Micro-needling and Microdermabrasion

Q What treatment is best to smooth texture?
A Chemical peels and Microdermabrasion but all treatments can improve overall texture.

Q Do you recommend products?
A: Absolutely! Medical grade products are so important to use at home to maintain healthy skin especially if you are receiving medical grade skin care treatments. We carry a line of medical grade products in the studio that we can look at post treatment.

Q Medical Grade vs. Over The Counter
A: Over-the-counter skin care products are designed to sit on the surface of the skin while medical grade skin care products are designed to penetrate the epidermis to affect deeper layers of the skin. Medical Grade is higher quality ingredients that are designed to work and can treat a wide variety of skin conditions and concerns.
Q Does it hurt?
A Slight to some discomfort is to be expected. With micro-needling we numb prior to your treatment and discomfort is mild.

Q Can I get this done if I am pregnant?
A We do not perform any advanced skin treatments on women who are pregnant or need doctors consent before receiving any skincare services. *This excludes relaxing facials
