This week we’re shining the spotlight on one of the amazing brands we carry in our salon: natural lip care brand Poppy and Pout. Sound familiar? That’s because a couple of weeks ago we featured them in our sustainability article, but we’re so in love with them that we decided they deserve some undivided attention.
So who is Poppy and Pout? Born in 2014, Poppy and Pout is an all-natural line of lip care that hit the market before any other natural, eco-friendly lip balms did. We featured them in our previous sustainability article because of the incredible efforts they are making towards being sustainable and green. Their products are 100% natural, cruelty-free, made in the USA, and their packaging is eco-friendly. When we asked them what their impetus was, they said, “As soon as we found the cardboard tubes, we were hooked and knew we were onto something.” Poppy and Pout boasts “simple ingredients for perfectly hydrated lips.” Their lip balms are flavored with essential oils and/or other natural flavor oils. No chemicals allowed!
Let’s circle back to their sustainability. Like we mentioned, Poppy and Pout is both eco-friendly and cruelty-free. Their lip balm tubes are made out of cardboard and can be recycled once empty. Also, the labels that they use are printed with eco-friendly, non-toxic inks. As for the animals, Poppy and Pout has pledged to remain cruelty-free. They never test on animals, and the beeswax that they used is ethically sourced from the United States. Animals are our friends here!
What else do we love about them? Not only do they engage in some serious sustainability efforts, Poppy and Pout lip balms actually work.
