Welcome back to another week of our Spotlight Series, where we highlight one of our amazing staff members! This week, we’d like you to meet Ryanne Crosby.

A 2020 graduate of the National Institute of Medical Aesthetics, Ryanne’s specialty is cosmetic tattooing that looks natural and effortless. She prioritizes education about the latest techniques and products in order to continually hone her craft. Her style is unique and precise, and she loves helping her clients feel comfortable in their own skin.

We could go on and on about Ryanne, but we’ll let her do the talking. Here’s what else you should know about Ryanne:

When did you join the Ero Edge team?

I started at the beginning of March, 2019!

What led you to a career in the beauty industry?

I’ve loved makeup since the day I turned 12 and was finally able to wear it, and one of my first jobs when I moved to the city was working as a receptionist at a spa. That got me interested in skincare, and I’d planned to become an esthetician at around 18. But shortly after deciding I wanted a future in skincare, I heard about microblading. I was instantly interested!

What’s your favorite thing about working with the Ero Edge team?

I love being surrounded by such self motivated and skilled people! We all love what we do, and have a shop full of genuine and lovely people.

If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

This question is tricky and there’s definitely more than one answer, but I think most importantly it would be to spend less energy and time focusing on societal pressures, and to spend more time on self love. Feeling comfortable in your own skin can mean so many different things, and I’m so happy that in my career I can help people feel more confident.

What’s your favorite service to perform, and why?

This question is also a tricky one! Lucky for me, I love it all – but microblading will always be a favorite because of the instant gratification of building a brow, stroke by stroke.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years?

The 5 year dream is to own a home in the Salt Lake area, still working at Ero Edge and getting to meet new clients every day!

What’s your current fave beauty product?

I am seriously loving the Dermalogica Retinol Clearing Oil!

If you didn’t have the job you have now, what would you be doing?

I would probably be pursuing a career in body piercing. It’s another love I’ve had since my young teens (my parents would confirm, and totally hated it!)

If you could have dinner with one celebrity, alive or dead, who would it be?

This may be the hardest question yet for me! The first to come to mind is Matthew Gray Gubler, because I’ve loved him since I first saw Criminal Minds and that’s what sparked my true crime fascination.
